Humanitarian law and refugee law are complementary bodies of law that share a common goal, the protection of the lives, health and dignity of persons. Humanitarian law which is also called the law of armed conflict or the laws of war regulates the conduct of warfare. The Refugee law is a set of rules and procedures that aims to protect persons seekingrefuge from persecution those recognized as refugees under the relevant instruments. The legal framework provides a distinct set of guarantees for thespecific groups of persons. This legal protection overlaps to a certain extent with international human rights law as well as the legal regime applicable to armed conflicts under international humanitarian law.

It involves crimes such as credit card frauds, mortgage frauds, corporate frauds, securities fraud, bank frauds, tax evasion, bribery, embezzlement, money laundering, identity theft etc. The object of this course is to study financial frauds in its various forms.
